my out of stealth opener and just isn't as fun there's no reason to stealth out now except to avoid mobs. losing abilities simply for the sake of losing abilities is not a good approach. some came back eventually, others didn't. I think it's fair to say the expansion was one nail because I've talked to many former players that said that's when they left.

If anything it was a mixed bag but I'm curious on what basis you consider it "most successful" ? Not all hate though, I liked the base on Ossus, the opening up other companions to the various stories, some of the side content like Eternal Championship and Star Fortresses.

I also didn't think the story itself made much sense, built on lore in a productive way, or that it was wrapped up cleanly but I suppose that's subjective. I didn't care for the forced walker missions which takes away my keybinds and rotations and wish they had been side content rather than required chapters. but glad they went back to a more open world approach for Onslaught). The story itself was a bit of a shift away from the spy-vs-spy Empire vs Republic for better or for worse (didn't mind that aspect, personally. which is to say it felt like a different game entirely with a shift away from open world sand box play and a push towards personal phases where you were guided between rails without much opportunity to explore outside of that. I can comment on KOTFE in hindsight as a player that was only introduced to it as a finished product long after the fact. I don't even know that the month by month content release is inherently bad (content is content after all) aside from having companions taken away and waiting for them to come back which understandably upset many players at the time. namely the broken up release of one chapter at a time over many months.
